Safeguarding Policy

Embrace Warwickshire (Embrace) is built on the fundamental Christian belief that each and every person is deeply loved by, and precious to Father God. For this reason, it is important to us as an organisation that our Volunteers and Staff are equipped to promote and protect the welfare, wellbeing, and dignity of any children or vulnerable adults they come into contact with whilst carrying out their duties.

There is a duty on organisations to make appropriate arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Government guidance makes it clear that it is a shared responsibility, and depends upon effective joint working between agencies and professionals that have different roles and expertise.

Within Embrace, Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; all staff and volunteers who have contact with children and vulnerable adults (both directly and indirectly), or who have access to information about them, have a responsibility to safeguard and promote their welfare and respond in an appropriate manner if they hear or witness something that is of concern. The processes and policies for doing this are laid out in the document below, and should be read and understood by all Staff and Volunteers.
