Kaeli Murphy - Birmingham Project Manager
Kaeli is the Project Manager for Embrace in Birmingham and began in post in June 2023 as we’ve been establishing our services in the city. She has been volunteering and working with us for 6 years alongside working for a community centre as a Youth Worker, and has a Masters in Youth Work and Community Development. Alongside Embrace, Kaeli has a flat in Birmingham with her husband and leads the youth work at her church. She loves spending time with people, hosting, music and DIY (or anything creative!) Kaeli’s heart is for every person, no matter where they have come from or what they have done, to know the deep and unconditional love of God and to know that they were created by Him for a purpose which is far beyond anything they could imagine.
Alison Maynard - Coventry Project Manager
Ali is the Project Manager for Embrace and began in post in October 2020. She has a background in Social Work with Children and Families and in volunteering with church and community projects. Alongside Embrace, Ali has a busy family and home life. She loves fun, spending time with people and being outdoors. Ali has a heart to see people thrive, growing into wholeness and all that God has for them.
Beverley Samways (Trustees Chair)
Beverley has been involved with Embrace for over eight years, becoming co-chair alongside Andy in January 2020. She has a background working with young people with severe and profound learning disabilities and is currently studying for a PhD related to her work. She serves as an Elder at Elim Church Coventry. Bev is passionate about seeing people and communities brought into freedom, healing and wholeness through the love of Jesus.
James Henney (Trustee)
James Henney also joined trustees in 2020. James has taken on the safeguarding lead for Embrace, and recently updated our policies. He has also been known to break out into song during outreach, which is an excellent quality!
Andrew Hart (Trustees Co-Chair)
Andy is a co-chair of trustees along with Bev. Andy started volunteering with Embrace in 2015, his passion for seeing restoration and healing in the women we serve comes from his faith and strong belief in social justice. Outside of Embrace Andy works for Jaguar Land Rover, enjoys church audio / visual production and is passionate about photography and his wife Rosie!
Donna McCluskey (Trustee)
Donna has recently been volunteering a day a week with Embrace on a Wednesday, something which her workplace has been immensely supportive of. Donna is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the women, and a real support to Ali.
Oscar Mucyo (Trustee)
Oscar is one of the Trustees. Oscar joined the trustees Team in Februray 2020 and has a heart to see healing and restoration for the weak and the disadvantaged.
Oscar serves at Coventry Elim church on staff, is a keen videographer and musician and seeks to use his unique mix of skills to serve the local community.
