Embrace The Journey

Would you like to take part in our upcoming fundraiser?

As Embrace are journeying from Coventry to Birmingham to establish a brand new project in Birmingham, we wanted our upcoming fundraiser to symbolically reflect our new venture.

On Saturday 16th September we will be journeying the canals between Coventry and Birmingham, a 40-mile stretch, to join up our two Embrace projects!

Our teams will be setting off from the Coventry basin and the Birmingham Gas Street basin to cover 20 miles each; walking, cycling and perhaps even kayaking some of the route! We will join forces at the mid-way point in Polesworth to finish our quest and celebrate together over a pub dinner! You’re invited to join us at the Gate Inn, Tamworth Road, Amington, Tamworth B77 3BY for dinner to celebrate with us if you would like to. We are estimating that we will be finished by 6 pm - 6.30 pm but can let you know our actual timings on the day. We are so excited about this challenge and about the laughter, conversations, and dreams we will have along the way - 20 miles makes for a long day! We can't wait!

Would you like to be involved? 

We will have team members, family and friends joining us for this challenge. You can join us too and take part in our fundraiser if you would like!

We will need walkers and there are options to join us at various checkpoints if you would prefer to only walk a section of the route. There is also the option to cycle, run or even paddle board or kayak a section of the route!

We also need volunteers for a support team who will meet us at various places along the route with refreshments, encouragement and supplies.
